Workshop on Security and Privacy Issues for Intelligent Edge Environments

The emergence of new networks such as 5G, vehicular and large-scale IoT infrastructure networks will provide a heterogeneous networking environment at the Edge of the Core Network. This will combine with Mobile Edge Clouds (MEC) as well as with storage and caching facilities to produce a new computing environment called the Intelligent Edge Environment (IEE). The IEE will allow services to be managed, migrated or replicated at the Edge providing low latency and high bandwidth to a number of diverse applications including network  audio, video streaming and immersive gaming.  This new environment will have to be secured using new security and privacy mechanisms which must an integral part of the IEE. This workshop will be focused on these issues.

Topics will include:

  • Security and Privacy issues in Heterogeneous Networks for IEE
  • Security and Privacy issues in Mobile Computing Systems for IEE
  • Security and Privacy Issues in Storage and Caching Networks for IEE
  • Security and Privacy Issues in Smart Grids for IEE
  • Security and Privacy issues in Vehicular Networks for IEE
  • New Information Security Framework for IEE
  • Service and Application Security for IEE
  • Security Issues for Mobile Services in IEE
  • AI and Machine Learning Techniques for IEE
  • Blochain for IEE
  • Secure Device Management for Devices using IEE
  • Providing Security and Privacy for CDNs using IEE
