Scope and Topics
The rapid proliferation and widespread adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as 5G/6G networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have significantly enhanced performance, operational efficiency, and productivity across various domains. This surge in technological integration has accelerated the deployment of massive smart devices and innovative digital ecosystems. However, alongside these advancements, new and complex security and privacy challenges have emerged, necessitating advanced defensive frameworks and novel methodologies.
The transition to 5G/6G networks has introduced segmented application scenarios and diverse user demands, leading to intricate security challenges in network architectures, protocols, and communication systems. Concurrently, IoT ecosystems, characterized by resource-constrained devices, have become prominent targets for cyberattacks due to inherent limitations in their security capabilities, exposure to zero-day vulnerabilities, and difficulties in managing large-scale deployments. Moreover, the pervasive use of AI-generated content, including deepfake multimedia and synthetic data, has amplified concerns about authentication, misinformation, and digital trustworthiness.
Topics
Addressing the multifaceted security and privacy risks in these rapidly evolving technological landscapes requires interdisciplinary approaches and innovative solutions. The International Conference on Security and Privacy in New Computing Environments seeks contributions from researchers, industry practitioners, and policymakers on original research, state-of-the-art techniques, comprehensive surveys, and practical case studies addressing the following (but not limited to) areas:
- 5G/6G security frameworks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies
- Secure communication protocols and architectures for next-generation networks
- IoT device security, vulnerability management, and threat detection mechanisms
- Privacy-enhancing technologies and data protection methodologies
- Security and privacy implications of AI-generated multimedia and synthetic content
- Machine learning-driven cybersecurity solutions and adversarial AI mitigation
- Trust management, authentication, and identity management in emerging technologies
- Blockchain and decentralized solutions for enhancing security and privacy
- Regulatory and ethical considerations in deploying new computing technologies
- Incident response, cyber forensics, and digital investigations in new computing environments

(titles in this series are indexed in Ei Compendex, Web of Science & Scopus)The authors of selected best accepted and presented papers will be invited to submit an extended version to: Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) Journal [IF: 3.8 (2022)].
Submission Guidelines
- Go to Confy+ website.
- Log in or sign up as a new user.
- Select your desired track.
- Click the ‘Submit Paper’ link within the track and follow the instructions.
Alternatively, go to the Confy+ homepage and click on “Open Conferences.”
Submission Guidelines:
- All papers must be submitted in English.
- Previously published work cannot be submitted, nor can it be concurrently submitted to any other conference or journal. These papers will be rejected without review.
- Papers must follow the Springer formatting guidelines (available in the Author’s Kit section).
- Authors must read and agree to the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
- As per new EU accessibility requirements, going forward, all figures, illustrations, tables, and images should have descriptive text accompanying them. Please refer to the document below, which will assist you in crafting Alternative Text (Alt Text)
Paper Submission
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
- Regular papers should be up to 12-15+ pages in length.
- Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.
All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection. You can learn more about Community Review here.
